What is an Apostolic Center?
An apostolic center is more than a gathering place—it is an equipping and sending center. We believe the Church is called to equip believers for the work of ministry, cultivate spiritual gifts, develop Kingdom leaders, strengthen families and communities, and send people into their God-given assignments.
At The Church @ New Bern, our desire is to see every believer mature, equipped, activated, and prepared to carry the presence and Kingdom of God wherever He sends them.
Our Vision
Our vision is to establish a local body and a regional base to equip and train the Body of Christ to walk in authentic supernatural Christianity, living everyday life out of the intimate voice of God, and advancing the ministry of Jesus Christ by bringing the Kingdom of Heaven to earth with signs, wonders and miracles.
It is our vision to develop a network of individuals, local churches, and ministries from around the world to partner with in this Great Commission.

Our mission is to equip, train, and activate the Body of Christ to walk in their God-given identity, authority, and purpose. We are committed to cultivating a culture of His presence, worship, prayer, discipleship, and authentic supernatural Christianity where believers are empowered to hear the voice of God and demonstrate the Kingdom of Heaven in everyday life.
We exist to raise up, strengthen, and send believers to impact their families, communities, cities, and nations with the transforming power and love of Jesus Christ.

REVIVAL CULTURE
We believe revival is more than an event—it is a culture.
At The Church @ New Bern, we are committed to cultivating an atmosphere where the presence of God is welcomed, the Holy Spirit has freedom to move, and lives are continually transformed by Jesus Christ.
We desire to be a people who live hungry for His presence, grounded in His Word, devoted to prayer and worship, and expectant for the supernatural work of God. Revival doesn't end when the service ends. We carry His presence into our homes, our communities, our city, and wherever God sends us.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
Word of God.
It is the foundation for what we believe and how we live.
The Triune God
We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and will return again.
Salvation
We believe salvation is found through Jesus Christ alone. Through repentance and faith in Him, we receive forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with God, and new life in Christ.
Communion
We believe in Communion and regularly remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ through the bread and the cup, proclaiming His death until He comes.
Water Baptism We believe in water baptism as an outward expression of a believer’s faith in Jesus Christ and identification with His death, burial, and resurrection. The Holy Spirit & Tongues We believe in the present-day ministry and power of the Holy Spirit. We believe believers can be filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit and that speaking in tongues is a biblical and active gift of the Spirit. The PropheticWe believe God still speaks to His people today. We embrace biblical prophetic ministry and believe prophecy is a gift of the Holy Spirit given to edify, exhort, and comfort the Body of Christ. We believe prophetic ministry must remain submitted to the Word of God and be discerned and judged according to Scripture.
The Gifts of the SpiritWe believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are active in the Church today, including prophecy, healing, miracles, words of wisdom and knowledge, discernment, tongues, interpretation of tongues, and faith.
Five-Fold Ministry We believe Jesus gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to equip the saints for the work of ministry and build up the Body of Christ.
Healing & Deliverance We believe Jesus Christ still heals, delivers, restores, and sets people free. We believe the supernatural ministry of Jesus continues through His Church by the power of the Holy Spirit.
HolinessWe believe in the holiness of God and that His people are called to live holy, consecrated lives. Holiness is not merely an outward appearance but a life surrendered to God and transformed by His presence, His Word, and the work of the Holy Spirit.
Marriage We believe marriage is a covenant established by God between one man and one woman.
The Church & the Kingdom of God We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, called to demonstrate His love, power, character, and Kingdom in the earth. We believe every believer has a purpose and is called to participate in advancing the Kingdom of God.
The Great Commission We believe Jesus commissioned His Church to make disciples of all nations, preach the Gospel, equip believers, and carry His presence and Kingdom into our communities, regions, and nations.
The Rapture & Return of Christ We believe in the return of Jesus Christ and the gathering of believers to Him. We live with an expectation of His coming and believe the Church should be prepared, watchful, faithful, and actively fulfilling the assignment He has given us.
Revival We believe revival is more than an event—it is a lifestyle. We pursue the presence of God and desire to see individuals, families, communities, and regions transformed through encounters with Jesus Christ.

OUR STORY
The Church @ New Bern began in a simple but powerful way—with relationship, prayer, and the presence of God.
What began as a group of men gathering together for football became something more when prayer broke out and the presence of God began to move. Out of those gatherings, God began to birth what would become The Church @ New Bern.
The church was founded through Mike & Stephanie Rogers, Ronnie & Kris Kidwell, and Brett & Natalie Engelman, who responded to what God was doing and helped establish the work He had begun.
From its beginning, The Church @ New Bern has carried a heart for the presence of God, authentic relationships, and the supernatural ministry of Jesus. What God began through a simple gathering continues today as an apostolic center committed to equipping people, cultivating revival, and advancing the Kingdom of God.
Our story began in His presence—and His presence remains at the center of who we are.
